CIF Basketball: Jordan Wins Playoff Opener, Will Host Top Seed Friday

The Jordan boys’ basketball team picked up a narrow first-round playoff win as they seek to win back-to-back CIF Southern Section championships. The Panthers have been coming on strong towards the end of the season, upsetting co-Moore League leaders Lakewood last week to clinch the league’s third playoff spot, then hitting the road to upset Mark Keppel in the first round of the Division 3AA playoffs, 58-54.
