Top 10 Canadian HS baseball players in Class of 2024
1. Brendan Lawson, SS/3B, P27 Academy-Prospect
The consensus top prospect in Canada, Lawson reclassified his draft class to 2024. The Florida commit has impressed scouts at each showcase he’s performed in, including the 2023 Perfect Game National Showcase event where he made the Showcase Top Prospect Team. Lawson’s high-contact rate, his mid-90s exit velocity at the plate and his 6-3, 205-pound frame make him easy to project as a major league shortstop. An injury slowed him down in 2022, but he’s fully back on track to be a top draft selection.
Uncommitted 2024 Brendan Lawson
6-foot-3, 185-pounds, LHH had himself a day, consistent line drives in the gaps, 88mph exit velo. Also picked it nicely at short, 87mph INF velo. #NYOpen🇨🇦 || @OntarioBlueJays pic.twitter.com/0MwiawBWiD
