Top 10 Texas high school baseball players in Class of 2024
8. Jason Flores, SS, Naaman Forest
Flores is a star two-way player for the Rangers and while heโs being scouted as a pitcher, his best work is arguably as a position player. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound right-hander led the Class 6A in batting average, hitting .521 while also recording five doubles, three triples, three home runs and 23 RBIs.
He was named the 9-6A Offensive Player of the Year, first-team all-area by the Dallas Morning News and first-team all-state at shortstop. Flores also participated in the New Balance Future Stars Series in October. He is ranked as the eighth-best player in the state by both Five Tool and Perfect Game and the No. 10 player in the state by PBR. Flores signed with the Texas Longhorns on Feb 7.
