Averett University Women’s Basketball Faces Defeat Against Eastern Mennonite University in 80-61 Loss

HARRISONBURG, Va. - Averett University women's basketball fell short at Eastern Mennonite University 80-61 on Saturday. Eastern Mennonite opened up the game on a 22-6 run in the first quarter. The Royals took a 50-20 lead into halftime. In the second half Averett outscored the Royals 18-14 in the third quarter. The Cougars offense erupted for 23 points in the fourth while the Royals scored 16 to bring the final score to 80-61.
