Amanda Turpin Shines, Leads Ozarks to Sixth Seed in ASC Tournament
Clarksville, Ark. – University of the Ozarks women's basketball player Amanda Turpin was named the American Southwest Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced February 12. Turpin, a senior forward from Cypress, Texas, averaged 18.0 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game in the Eagles 2-0 week. Turpin had a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds in a win over nationally-ranked Mary Hardin-Baylor on Saturday.
