Meet Kearney basketball player Drew Wilson
KEARNEY, Mo. — Kearney Bulldog junior Drew Wilson is having a great season as a power forward for the basketball team. He was the player of the game in a tight early season overtime nail-biter of a game against rival Platte County. Wilson rebounded, played tight defense, and had a sizzling offensive performance, scoring 27 points in the win.
He had a double/double against Pembroke Hill in the William Jewell College Holiday Classic, scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. Wilson helped lead the team to a Kearney Classic Tournament team victory, the first time the Bulldogs have won the tournament since 2017. The Bulldogs had tournament wins over Northeast Kansas City, Summit Christian Academy, and Platte County.
RecruitLook Hoops says, “He’s a physical driver with good feet and an understanding of how to play in space. He’s a strong player from the guard spot and has a relentless motor. A difference maker on both ends for this year’s Kearney team.” Wilson also carries a 3.8 GPA and is winning in the classroom.
