Queens University of Charlotte Track and Field Shines at JDL Last Chance Invitational with Multiple Top 10 Finishes

The Queens University of Charlotte track and field team had a strong showing at the JDL Last Chance Invitational, with multiple Royals finishing in the top 10, including seven top-five finishes. Notable performances included Halle Perry's second-place finish in the women's 60m hurdles, Rowan Shannon's second place in the women's 800m, and Nick Potter's third place in the men's 800m.

• Halle Perry finished the women's 60m hurdles in second place with a time of 9.00, while Emilija Kusic finished third with a time of 9.08 and Celia Spiess finished eighth with a time of 9.72.
• Rowan Shannon finished second in the women's 800m with a time of 2:22.75.
• Nick Potter finished third in the men's 800m with a time of 1:57.06, and Branden Ruiz finished ninth in the same event with a time of 2:01.41.
• Livia Wespe finished fourth in the women's 3000m with a time of 10:29.56, while Emma Olson-Keating got seventh with a time of 10:41.69 and Cara MacDonald finished ninth with a time of 10:55.24.
• Noah Boeck finished tenth in the men's 3000m with a time of 9:03.15.
• Michael Quigley secured a second-place finish in the men's long jump with a best jump of 6.84m and seventh place in the men's triple jump with a distance of 13.08m.
• Ines Safont finished fifth in the women's shot put with a best throw of 13.60m, while Enrico Busato finished seventh in the men's shot put with a best throw of 14.24m.
• Jalena Curbeam placed second in the women's triple jump with a best jump of 11.36m, and Kamile Bickute secured eighth place with a best jump of 10.21m.
• Jakob Nutzel finished sixth in the men's weight throw with a best throw of 14.10m.

The Royals will head to Gainesville, FL for the ASUN Indoor Championships on February 23rd, where they will aim to continue their impressive performances.
