Red Hawks Shine at NJAC Championships With Record-Breaking Performances

College Park, Md. – RYAN KAPPES set the school record in the 400-IM to highlight top performances during the third day of the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday. HOW IT HAPPENED Kappes set his mark during the preliminary round of the 400-IM as he took eighth at 4:09.42. He bested the previous mark of 4:10.66, which Billy Blomn set during the 1995 Metropolitan Championships. In the finals, Kappes placed eighth with a time of 4:12.09.
