American University Field Hockey Team Celebrates Academic Excellence with Five NFHCA Division I Scholars of Distinction

MANAHAWKIN, NJ — The American University field hockey team had five student-athletes recognized as National Field Hockey Coaches Association's (NFHCA) Division I Scholars of Distinction, the association announced on Monday, February 19. Ashley Huddleston, Kaleigh Missimer, Bryn Underwood, Tayla-Jade Weiss, and Sophie Willemse are the five student-athletes being honored from American. This distinguished program acknowledges exceptional undergraduate student-athletes who have consistently maintained an impressive cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or higher throughout the fall semester of the 2023-24 academic year.
