Houghton Field Hockey Excels in Academic Honors with NFHCA Recognition

HOUGHTON, N.Y. — Ten members of the Houghton field hockey program have been named to the 2023 National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III National Academic Squad. In addition, two Highlanders were named to the NFHCA Scholars of Distinction program for maintaining a cumulative GPA over 3.9 through the fall semester. The NFHCA National Academic Squad program, sponsored by OPA Winning Teams, honors collegiate student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher through the first semester of the current academic year, and were nominated by their NFHCA member coach.
