Lehigh Field Hockey Shines Academically with Eight NFHCA 2023 Scholar-Athletes

MANAHAWKIN, N.J. - The Lehigh field hockey program earned eight spots on the NFHCA 2023 Division I National Academic Squad, the organization announced on Feb. 14. Sophomore Lela Boermeester, senior Abbie Brown, junior Jenny Canoni, sophomore Kiki Mes, senior Lotte Smorenburg, senior Erica Steele and first-year Ella Stephenson were among the 997 student-athletes recognized by the NFHCA. Brown, Smorenburg and Steele were named to the list for the fourth consecutive year. In the fall, Smorenburg was named to the Academic All-Patriot League Team.
