Muscatine Bowlers Secure Second Place in Boys 3A State Team Bowling Tournament

Dave Selvig Muscatine placed second in the boys Class 3A state team bowling tournament in Waterloo. The Muskies knocked off top-seeded Davenport Central 3-1 to reach the final against Waterloo West on Monday night. Muscatine took the first game over Waterloo West, 215-180, but the Wahawks took the next three, 171-145, 226-202 and 178-171, in the best-of-five championship tilt. Davenport Central bounced back to take third place, outlasting Johnston 224-181 in the fifth for a 3-2 win.
