MANAHAWKIN, N.J. — The American University field hockey team was selected for the 2023 NFHCA (National Field Hockey Coaches Association) Division I National Team Academic Award. The NFHCA celebrates academic excellence by honoring 49 Division I teams in 2023. This prestigious acknowledgment is granted to programs that have achieved an exceptional team grade-point average of 3.5 or higher during the fall semester of the current academic year. Virginia Commonwealth University led the charge, securing the top spot with a team GPA of 3.84.
