Brookfield East’s Defense Dominates in Comeback Win over Menomonee Falls

BROOKFIELD — Brookfield East’s boys basketball team played lock-down defense in the second half, erasing a slim halftime deficit to beat Menomonee Falls 60-41 in a Greater Metro Conference tilt Thursday. The Spartans (8-16, 5-11) trailed 23-21 through one half of action. But Zeke Sawall scored 15 of his team high 18 points in the second half, while Andrew Graf had 10 of his 11 after intermission. Keenan Mulberry had 11 points and Trey Frye 10 to lead the Phoenix (9-14, 4-12).
