Swimming & Diving Triumph at NEC Championship with Record-Breaking Performances
Geneva, OH - After earning a victory in the 400-yard medley relay, the men's swimming & diving team took over first place in the Northeast Conference (NEC) Championship standings on Friday at the Spire Institute. The team of sophomore Kaan Nalçaci and freshmen Jasu Ovaskainen, Adrian Andres Moreno and Enrico Mancardo recorded a time of 3:13.06, which was a meet record. The first place finish allowed the Seahawks to overtake Howard in the overall standings. Andres Moreno and Ovaskainen also added individual victories in the 100-yard breaststroke and 100-yard backstroke events, respectively.
