University of Maine Women’s Ice Hockey Team Secures Overtime Victory Against Holy Cross Crusaders with Morrison’s Game-Winning Goal
WORCESTER, Mass. - The University of Maine women's ice hockey team (14-17-2) rallied past the Holy Cross Crusaders (7-22-3) in an overtime victory Friday night at Hart Center Rink by a score of 3-2. Freshman forward Sam Morrison opened up the scoring for the Black Bears on a power play rebound in the first period and finished the game notching the overtime game-winner just thirty-six seconds into the extra period.
