Aurora University Men’s Track and Field Team Takes 3rd at Northern Athletics Conference Championships with Impressive Performances

The Aurora University men's track and field team placed third at the 2024 indoor Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Championships. The Spartans finished with a total of 69.5 points. Steven Tinsley was conference champion in the shot put. His 16.23-meter heave was a new indoor personal record and is now the third best mark in school history. He finished nearly 1.5 meters ahead of second place. Tinsley also earned All-Conference status in the weight throw by finishing in second place with a mark of 16.90 meters.
