Pirates and Covington Catholic Dominate in Key Basketball Wins Ahead of 44th District Tournament

The Pirates (21-8) closed out the regular season with a very impressive performance on the road against an 11th Region opponent. Finley Blevins had 17 points as Berea Community topped Dunbar (11-19), 59-48, on Friday in Lexington. Jack Hemenway had 15 points and Liam Brewer added 11 points for the Pirates. Tommie Banderman finished with 10 points. Berea has won nine of last 11 games, including four-straight victories.
