10 most touted freshmen in college baseball for 2024 season
Cam Johnson, LHP, LSU
Johnson transferred into IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, for his senior season from Bishop McNamara in Forestville, Maryland. The decision appeared to be a good one as he struck out 43 batters in 27 innings with an ERA of 0.78. Unfortunately, his 2023 season ended prematurely due to elbow tendinitis. The 6-foot-5, 250-pound lefty has a chance to be the Friday night starter in Baton Rouge at some point in the next couple of years.
