UMass to Rejoin Mid-American Conference (MAC) in 2025, Leaving Atlantic 10 Behind
Following the latest move in conference realignment, there are now just two FBS independents remaining in college football. According to a report on Monday by The Athletic, UMass will be joining the Mid-American Conference (MAC). They'll be doing so across all sports, and will be joining in the 2025-26 academic year. UMass was a part of the MAC from 2012-2015, after making the leap from the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS).
