Widener Track Star: Robinson’s Success in Shot Put & Pentathlon
CHESTER, Pa. –Widener Athletics is covering women’s track and field student-athlete Kayla Robinson for the third installment of Black History Mondays. Robinson is in her first season with the Pride after previously competing with the Haverford College Fords. At the MAC Indoor Track and Field Championships on Feb. 23-24, Robinson was named Field Athlete of the Year. She set career-bests in shot put and the pentathlon (both of which came in first in their respective events). Robinson is a native of Bristol, Conn.
