Kirk Cousins’ free agency: 5 landing spots for veteran QB
Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons are in the market for a quarterback after struggling through a season with Desmond Ridder and Taylor Heinicke last year, and that could be the direction they go with the eighth pick in the draft. However, even with the poor performance under center in 2023, the Falcons went 7-10 and have the pieces in place to compete behind a veteran signal caller like Cousins. Bijan Robinson has the looks of a generational running back while Atlanta also has an upside No. 1 wide receiver in Drake London, and a potentially elite tight end, Kyle Pitts, who was the fourth overall pick in the draft just a couple of years ago. Cousins would have the capability to thrive in Atlanta with the weapons around him and would also reunite with head coach Raheem Morris who spent time on Washington’s coaching staff early in Cousins’ career.
