Manhattanville College Stars: Paz Hassan-Contreras and Nick Cornelia Shine in February

PURCHASE, N.Y. – Earning the final Valiant of the Week nods for February, Paz Hassan-Contreras (Lansing, Mich./Okemos) of the Manhattanville College women's hockey team and Nick Cornelia (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Lindenhurst) of men's lacrosse have been awarded the distinction for the week ending Feb. 25. Hassan-Contreras' third-career appearance in the crease was one to remember as the rookie goaltender helped the Valiants earn a UCHC Quarterfinal victory over Alvernia. In just the second start of her career, Hassan-Contreras made 21 saves in a complete game shutout in her postseason debut.
