Tanner Hawkins Shines as SAAC Men’s Hornet of the Week for Kalamazoo College Baseball Team

Tanner Hawkins of the Kalamazoo College baseball team was named the SAAC Men's Hornet of the Week on Tuesday (Feb. 27). The Hornets began their season on Feb. 23-24 with a three-game series at Principia. Kalamazoo earned a season-opening sweep over the Panthers 17-0 (7 inn.), 7-5, and 20-0 (7 inn.). Nearly the entire roster either had a plate appearance or an inning on the mound, with 21 position players receiving an at-bat and 12 pitchers throwing at least an inning.
