Widener Women’s Basketball Faces Springfield College in NCAA Tournament First Round
CHESTER, Pa. – With their MAC Commonwealth Championship win over the Messiah University Falcons, Widener women's basketball is going to the NCAA Tournament. The Pride's first-round opponent is the Springfield College Pride, a team from Springfield, Mass. The game will be played on Friday, March 1 at 4 p.m. at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. Widener is 23-4 on the season (11-3 MAC). They took down top-seeded Messiah in Grantham, Pa. behind a strong second half. The Pride outscored the Falcons 46-30 in the last 20 minutes.
