Monday was a tough night on the hardwood for a couple of local boys' basketball teams. In the opening round of the 23rd District, Bullitt Central had to play at the host Southern for the right to play top-seeded Evangel the next night. After getting behind early, the Cougars could not overcome the deficit and fell 59-44 to the Trojans. North Bullitt will open 23rd District boys' play on Wednesday.
