Marc Begin II named NESCAC Men’s Basketball Rookie of the Year

HADLEY, Mass. -- Bates men's basketball first-year guard Marc Begin II is the 2023-24 NESCAC Rookie of the Year, as announced Thursday by the New England Small College Athletic Conference. Begin II (Jacksonville, Fla.) is the third Bobcat in program history to earn the honor, and the first since Brian Ellis '11 in 2007-08. The talented guard made an immediate impact for Bates, leading the team and finishing tied for sixth in the NESCAC in scoring at 16.6 points per game.
