ASU Track & Field Claims Two Events in the First Day of the Trinity Invitational

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The Angelo State track & field teams wrapped up the first day of the Trinity Invitational on Friday to open the outdoor season. Cole Paxton won the men's hammer throw, tossing a mark of 54.98m (180'-5), outthrowing second place by over two feet. Luis Alvarado finished eighth in the event with a mark of 43.96m (144'-3). In the high jump, Emanual Evans grabbed fifth overall with a jump of 1.90m (6'-2.75) while Josh Minton finished eighth at the same height.
