RiverHawks earn No. 8 seed in MIAA Tournament

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Northeastern State will face Emporia State in the opening round of the MIAA Women's Basketball Tournament Wednesday at noon inside Kansas City's Municipal Auditorium. The RiverHawks finished the regular season with an overall record of 14-14 and tied for eighth in the MIAA standings with a 10-12 mark. Under first-year head coach Keith Ferguson the RiverHawks broke a six-year postseason drought and posted its best record since the 2012-13 campaign.
