SAVANNAH, Ga. — No. 14/16 Averett University men's golf opened its spring season Monday at the Savannah Invitational, where play was suspended midway through the day's second round due to darkness. Averett was tied for 14 th after the first round of the day after carding a collective 7-over-par 295. The Cougars were at 7-over in the second round of a 36-hole opening day when play was stopped.
