Three women’s basketball players earn All-MEC honors

By: Bryan Shepherd, Assistant Sports Information Director BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – West Virginia State's women's basketball team placed three players on the All-Mountain East Conference teams, the league announced on Monday. Shelby Harmeyer earned first-team All-MEC honors while Destiny Fields and Anysa Jordan earned second-team nods. Harmeyer, a graduate guard from Independence, Ky., earned her second All-MEC award after she scored her 1000th career point this season and averaged 10.9 points per game.
