Top 10 Virginia HS baseball players in Class of 2024
9. James Nunnallee, OF, Lightridge
Nunnallee is one of the top position players in the state. While he is listed by recruiting sites as an outfielder, the 5-foot-10, 174-pound athlete earned first-team all-district and second-team all-region honors as a catcher for the Lightning last season.
Given his position flexibility and strong approach in the batter’s box, Nunnallee has the attention of scouts, ranking seventh in the state’s senior class by Perfect Game and fifth by PBR. He signed with in-state Virginia on Nov. 8.
