Statesmen Basketball Drops GSC Tournament Game to West Alabama

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The Statesmen traveled to West Alabama Tuesday night for the first round of the GSC Tournament. Delta State claimed the five-seed for the GSC after Saturday's big win over top-seeded West Georgia. The Tigers led 43-37 at the halftime break after shooting 58.3 percent from the field in the first twenty minutes. The Statesmen only turned the ball over seven times in that time, but the Tigers scored thirteen points off of the takeaways.
