Men’s Basketball Tournament Run Ends in Semis vs. UNG
AIKEN, S.C. - The sixth-seeded Columbus State University men's basketball team's Peach Belt Conference Tournament run ended in the semifinal game against second-seed University of North Georgia. Columbus State's record drops to 16-13 overall. The Cougars jumped out to an early lead over the Nighthawks in the first half, ending the half with a score of 27-23 heading into halftime. CSU expanded it's lead to 11 points within the first two minutes of the second half, but slowly lost it as UNG came within one point with seven minutes left.
