Pocknett named Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year
BRISTOL, Tenn. -- Mikhail Pocknett of the King University men's basketball team has been named Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year, and was voted Second Team All-Conference Carolinas. Pocknett is the first Freshman of the Year for King men's basketball since Logan Lyle in 2011-12. Pocknett, a freshman from Wilmington, N.C. had a historic season for the Tornado, averaging 17.9 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game.
