Jacob Morris Finishes Ninth In Men’s Weight Throw

PITTSBURG, Kan. - Senior Jacob Morris finished ninth, good for All-America honors, in the men's weight throw at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships. Morris fouled on his first attempt but moved into seventh position following a toss of 20.45 meters. That mark moved Morris into the finals but he could not surpass it. His fifth throw was 20.25 meters and his sixth throw was a foul. Peyton Barton of Missouri Southern led from start to finish with five of six throws going over 22 meters.
