Meet Liberty basketball player Zak Aganovic
LIBERTY, Mo. — Zak Aganovic, senior power forward for the Liberty Blue Jays is one of the leading scorers in the Kansas City area this hoops season. The six-foot-six Aganovic shot 53% from the field, scoring 280 points. He has averaged 13.67 points per game, 11.71 rebounds, and 3.62 assists. He had 20-point-plus games against Springdale (AR), Blue Springs South, Oak Park, and Park Hill. He also carries over a 4.0 GPA.
“Zak has been great for us all year,” says coach Joseph Price, “And leads us in points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks. He is a returning All-Conference and All-District player.”
“The season has been really enjoyable and exciting for me, ” says Aganovic. “I have a lot of great teammates and coaches around me who make every day a fun day. To begin the season, we went down to Republic and ended up in the championship of that tournament. We have played a lot of good teams this year, which has made for great environments. Another great experience was playing in the Jewel tournament, which is always good. Overall, my last season of high school basketball has been great. I have made a lot of memories and have really had fun while doing it.”
