In a game as close as Thursday’s Division 2 Sectional 1 semifinal between No. 2 River Falls and No. 1 Wausau East, one mistake is all it takes and that proved to be the case late in the second half. Down 53-51 Wausau East fumbled the ball in transition and Wildcats senior Hayden Bottolfson came up with the loose ball and tried to steal some points for River Falls. The forward had a layup rim out, but he was fouled by Lumberjacks junior Charlie Cayley.
