Byrd is one of the more intriguing prep arms across the entire state of Kansas. He is 6-foot-6, 195 pounds with plenty of room to put on more muscle as he gets older. The Kansas State commit already touches the mid-90s with his fastball, while also throwing a good changeup and a curveball. Byrd has the potential to wind up in the weekend rotation in Manhattan, Kansas, at some point in his college career.
