Top 10 Missouri HS baseball players in Class of 2024
COLUMBIA, Mo. (BVM) – Missouri might not be the first state that comes to mind when discussing high school baseball, but it has had a long and rich history of producing elite talent on the diamond.
The Show-Me State saw a future Pro Baseball Hall of Famer, Yogi Berra, take the field at the high school level over eight decades ago before later producing multiple World Series champions headlined by Ken Boyer and Bob Turley.
More recently, Missouri was the starting point for a couple of MLB stars like Max Scherzer and Albert Pujols. Over the past few years, a few top-100 MLB draft picks have also come from the Show-Me State with Carter Jensen in 2021, Karson Milbrandt in 2022 and Nazzan Zanetello in 2023.
In 2024, there will be an abundance of talented players taking the diamond who are ready to follow in the footsteps of some of the stars before them. Missouri’s senior class this season features a couple of prospects who have the potential to become MLB draft picks, while several others are poised for successful careers at the collegiate level.
