Maranell Finishes 12th in Triple Jump at NCAA Indoors

Patrick Ferron VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - St. Norbert College freshman Eden Maranell finished in 12th place competing in the triple jump at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championship at Virginia Beach Sports Center. Maranell recorded a personal-best distance of 38 feet 7 1/2 inches on her third attempt but it was not enough to advance to the final nine. She recorded a distance of 37-11 1/2 on her first try and then scratched on her second attempt. Johns Hopkins University's Victoria Kadiri was the national champion with a distance of 41-9 1/4.
