Strangio Completes Indoor Season at NCAA Championships

BOSTON, Mass – Matt Strangio placed 16th in the 3,000-meter run Saturday at the 2024 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships with a time of 8:24.07 to conclude a record-breaking season for the senior. Strangio owns the Portland indoor records in the mile (3:55.53), 3,000-meter (7:39.02) and 5,000-meter (13:31.92) events. With Strangio and Laura Pellicoro's qualification for this year's championships, Portland has now had 15 NCAA Indoor qualifiers dating back to 1995 season.
