Conquer the Canuck trail race
CAMBRIDGE, Ontario — Conquer the Canuck trail race is a spring race along the beautiful trails of Shades Mills Conservation Area in Cambridge. This year, Conquer the Canuck will be raising funds in support of KidsAbility centre for child development.
The course is made up of a 6.25 km loop with approximately 100 meters of elevation, taking runners through a variety of scenery with sections of dirt trails, grass, and pine trees, as well as a rooty and rocky section. Conquer the Canuck 2024 will be held on Saturday, May 11th, but don’t worry if you want to go, the trails are still open to the general public during the race. Runners can choose to run a range of distances to get to the finish line, with 12.5 km, 25 km, 50 km, and 12-hour individual or team relay options. Every runner will receive a specially designed finishers medal to commemorate their achievement. There will be photographers on site to take pictures of the event and running times will be recorded using chip timing. Conquer the Canuck has volunteers along the marked course to help with aid stations, registration, course marshalling, and more.
