Women’s Basketball Earns Second Consecutive NCAA Tournament Berth

By: Morgan Sheehan, Assistant AD/Communications & Strategic Initiatives INDIANAPOLIS – The eighth-seeded UNC Pembroke women's basketball team will make its second-straight appearance at the NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Tournament in the 50-year history of the program when it takes on top-seeded Catawba in the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Southeast Regional on Friday in Salisbury, N.C. The Braves, who earned the automatic berth to the tournament after winning the Conference Carolinas Championship on Sunday, are the eighth seed in the tournament and are set to face top-seeded Catawba on Friday.
