Men’s Swimming Takes Second in 800 Freestyle Relay on NCAA Day 1

GENEVA, Ohio – McKendree University men's swimming finished second in the first race of the NCAA Division II National Championships on Tuesday evening. Sophomore Mario Perez Torrado, junior Leo Gandaria-Hernandez, junior Arthur Souza, and junior Alireza Yavari competed in the 800 yard freestyle relay, swimming a 6:24.12. The Bearcats finished second to the University of Tampa. The NCAA Championships continue Wednesday with the 200 individual medley, 50 freestyle, 1000 freestyle, and men's one-meter diving preliminaries.
