Polat Tasbasi Signs to Join 2024-25 Bearcat Swim Roster

LEBANON, Ill. – McKendree University’s swimming and diving head coach Jimmy Tierney announced the signing of Polat Tasbasi to McKendree’s roster for the 2024-25 season. Tasbasi, the Ankara, Turkey native, comes to McKendree after swimming for one year at Lindenwood University. In 2024 at the Summit League Championships, Tasbasi swam five personal bests including the 200 freestyle, 50 breastrstroke, 100 breaststroke, 200 breaststroke, and 100 individual medley. “We are thrilled to have Polat joining the Bearcats this coming fall,” said Tierney. “He is very talented and should be an elite Division II level breaststroker for McKendree the next 3 years.…
