West Virginia State’s Anthony Pittman named HBCU DII Player of the Year
By: James Garcia, Sports Information Director FUQUAY-VARINA, N.C. – The 15th annual Division II HBCU All-America teams, presented by BOXTOROW, were released on Tuesday. West Virginia State's Anthony Pittman (Charleston, W.Va./Capital) earned his third selection as a First Team All-American as well as being named the Player of the Year. Pittman earned DII HBCU Player of the Year honors after leading the Yellow Jackets to a semifinal appearance in the Mountain East Conference Tournament and a berth in the NCAA DII Atlantic Region Tournament.
