Hapkiewicz Places 30th in 1000 Free at NCAA Championships

GENEVA, Ohio – Bentley's Emma Hapkiewicz competed in the 1000 freestyle at the NCAA Division II Women's Swimming and Diving Championships on Wednesday and swam a season best time of 10:18.37. That saw her finish 30th. Her time on Tuesday was almost three seconds better than her previous season best of 10:21.02, which she swam at the NE10 Championships in February. Bentley's record holder in the 1000, she won gold at the NE10s three straight years. Hapkiewicz is eligible to compete in the 500 free on Friday and the 1650 free on Saturday at the NCAA Championships.
