HIGH SCHOOL ARCHERY: Christian Academy’s Gedney wins state title
NEW ALBANY — Caleb Gedney is the area’s latest state champion. The Christian Academy junior finished first in the National Archery in Schools Program (NASP) State Tournament in Indianapolis last Saturday. Gedney posted a personal-best score of 293 points (out of a maximum of 300) to beat out 2,129 other participants from around the state. “Caleb really went in with an amazing performance by setting the expectations and maintaining focus throughout the tournament,” CAI head coach Erick Hall said in a press release from the program.
