Girls basketball: Verona’s Taylor Stremlow named Big Eight Player of the Year
For the second straight year, Verona senior Taylor Stremlow was named the Big Eight Conference Player of the Year. Stremlow, a University of Iowa commit, also was named first-team all-conference. She was one of two Wildcat players to be named first-team all-conference. Senior teammate Reagan Briggs received first-team all-conference honors and was named the conference’s Co-Defensive Player of the Year for the second straight season.
